Sinaloa and Nayarit are part of the Eighth Naval Region

 POST 2- NEWS

The news is about the arrival of the new head of the Naval Region, who seeks to reinforce operations to reduce the crime of poaching and trafficking of prohibited substances in Sinaloa and Nayarit, whose areas are part of the Eighth Naval Region.
The Admiral pointed out that the amendment to follow is the implementation of operations with maritime personnel to eradicate the illegal activities of poaching, and to detect the transfer of prohibited substances via the sea in various vessels. Among the actions to be implemented will be the review of tourism service providers, starting with the rental of tours along the coast, Abarca Martínez emphasized at this point that those who are not in optimal conditions will be suspended or otherwise sanctioned.

I believe that it is very important that measures be taken to ensure the lawful entry of goods into the country because the illicit trafficking of counterfeit goods might negatively affect public revenue through the loss of taxes and customs duties when they are smuggled into the country. Counterfeiting also has a cost to society as a result of increased public spending on policing and law enforcement, increased costs passed on to law-abiding consumers who have to pay more to cover additional costs incurred by manufacturers to pay for security and tracking systems, litigation, and civil proceedings.
