Modernization of border ports will boost Sonora's economy: Governor Durazo

 


Through the modernization of the border ports in the entity and the cooperation between Mexico and the United States, the binational commercial exchange will be more efficient, in which Sonora will have a stellar participation as a generator of clean energy, highlighted Governor Alfonso Durazo Montaño. .

Within the framework of the supervision of the border port of San Luis Río Colorado, the state president stressed that the global geopolitical context will allow the relocation of investments, a phenomenon with which the state will benefit from having a solid industry and trained human capital. and recognized worldwide.

Ken Salazar, ambassador of the United States in Mexico, highlighted the cooperation of the Mexican nation and, especially, the state of Sonora in terms of green energy generation, through the implementation of the Sonora Sustainable Energy Plan promoted by Governor Alfonso Durazo Montaño and President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

In the presence of Santos González Yescas, municipal president of San Luis Río Colorado; and Laura Biedebach, United States consul in Nogales, David Figueroa, representative of Sonora in Arizona, stressed that Sonora is experiencing a moment of opportunity, with large-scale investments to modernize the entity's ports of entry and develop energy and Clean technologies.

Personal opinion
I believe that investing in this type of action will not only benefit the citizens of Nogales, but the entire region since being a border with the United States, it will make commercial exchange even more efficient mainly through the reduction of waiting times. These actions will make the zone even more attractive to nationals and foreigners to make trade.
