Regularization of foreign vehicles exceeds the goal set in Sinaloa

The Mexican government was preparing to purchase hundreds of millions of dollars of Chinese scanning equipment for its own checkpoints. U.S. officials worried that the scanners, which Mexico had begun to purchase from Beijing-based Nuctech, would give China access to troves of information about goods entering the United States. The company, which manufactures equipment to screen luggage and cargo, has strong ties to China’s communist government. Mexican officials say they are aware of the U.S. unease and see value in using equipment that is compatible with the technology used in the United States, but they are following their own country’s procurement procedures. Baja California registers high cost of insecurity to companies

  The state of Baja California ranks first nationally in cost of insecurity, indicates the National Survey of Victimization of Companies 2022. The document indicates that companies spent 95,631 pesos in 2021 on protection measures and losses as a result of crime. The cost at the state level exceeds the cost registered in Mexico City, with 95 thousand 128 pesos and that of Guanajuato of 90 thousand 088 pesos. The main crime committed in Baja California last year was extortion, which registered an expansion in the country, going from 13 states in 2019 to 21 in 2021. Last year, Baja California registered a criminal incidence rate for acts of corruption of 723 cases for every 10,000 economic units. In this sense, Baja California ranked fifth nationally, behind Mexico City, Quintana Roo, Guanajuato and Oaxaca. POST-9 Proposal for cross-border Trolley that will connect San Diego with Tijuana advances

   POST 9- NEWS  The news is that SANDAG has announced that it is making progress on a proposal that will allow the Blue Line trolley to be extended approximately one mile to Tijuana. In other words, it will be a cross-border tram and it will also be the first of its kind in the country, something that is intended to be achieved with the support of partners that the United States has in Mexico, said Antoinette Meier, senior director of Regional Planning at SANDAG. Orlene threatens the Mexican Pacific coast

  A potentially dangerous category 2 hurricane called Orlene is forming south of Los Cabos, with its landfall expected on the coasts of Sinaloa.  The National Water Commission has reported amidst the 2022 hurricane season that tropical storm Orlene is slowly emerging south of Baja California Sur and will be rated category 2 on the Saffir-Simpson scale, according to the current forecast. The tropical storm is currently brewing around 442 kilometers southwest of Punta San Telmo, Michoacán, with maximum winds of between 75 km/h and 95 km/h.  Personal opinion As fortunately this weather inconvinient has been noticed in advance, people can be warned by authorities so they can suffer the less not only talking about economy but for their own security. INM identifies almost 32 thousand irregular migrants in Baja California during 2022

During the supervision and evaluation meeting of the Representative Office in Baja California, held at the Technological Institute of Tijuana, the commissioner of the National Migration Institute (INM), Francisco Garduño Yáñez, was informed that between January and September 2022, that agency rescued 31 thousand 907 foreign migrants, while in the same period of the previous year there were 25 thousand 155 people. At the meeting it was reported that these irregular migrants come mainly from Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Honduras, Peru, Guatemala, El Salvador, Venezuela, Nicaragua and Russia. In addition, the event explained that, as part of the actions to guarantee safe, orderly and regular migration with full respect for human rights, 127 verification requests were made in hotels where 469 foreigners were rescued. Unexpected storm caused destruction and flooding in Hermosillo, Sonora

  In a single day, Hermosillo went from 40 degrees to a windy afternoon with rain and hail. Chaos was generated in Hermosillo after unexpected rain that came accompanied by strong gusts of wind and hail in some sectors of the city In addition to the significant accumulation of water in busy avenues, traffic lights, poles, transformers, and trees were also reported to fall, for which authorities informed the population to avoid going out into the street. The storm began at 7:30 p.m. with wind gusts of up to 93 km/h, as confirmed by the Civil Protection Coordination in Sonora.   POST 8- NEWS  The news is that the mayor of Mazatlán, Luis Guillermo Benitez Torres, gave his opinion on different issues that occurred in Mazatlán, one of them the 2023 Expenditure Budget. He pointed out that by 2023 his administration will allocate a larger budget in search of improving the port campuses, and also stated that they will team up with the State Government, through the Sinaloa Institute of Educational Physical Infrastructure (ISIFE).  The municipal president expressed that 30 million pesos were allocated last year to support Mazatlan schools and they are looking to increase it for fiscal year 2023. The mayor said that when a city is transformed and offers certainty to investors, Private Investment arrives, since during the first three years of his administration 42 billion pesos were achieved, being the largest in Sinaloa.
